CONTAINER CONVERSION CASE STUDIES 10ft roller shutter door CS27862
The DesignThis is a fairly straightforward conversion, which we can do with any size container, by either replacing the end doors with a roller shutter, or fitting one into the side of the container.
For this job, we took a 10ft cut down container and began work with the open end.
Reinforcing the open endIn order to support the roller shutter door we are fitting, we must reinforce the door opening with 100mm x 50mm box section steel.
RepaintingOur client has chosen leaf green, although we do offer a wide range of colours for repainting. We repaint the container before fitting the roller shutter, and touch up if necessary afterwards.
The Roller shutterAt 8ft wide the roller shutter fits exactly into the open end of the container. This example is operated manually, but we also offer an electrically operated roller shutter. Shutters come either galvanised or powder coated factory finished. This one is green, to match the rest of the container.
Note - roller shutters are made to order and can be cut to any width and powder coated in a wide range of colours.
