What was our best selling new product of 2013? The winner is……the Garage Container! Our unique, purpose built product was designed and exclusively manufactured by Containers Direct, and is the tailor made, low cost and convenient alternative to storing your vehicle in a traditional garage. No need to wait for planning permission or protracted building works, we simply build it here to your requirements and deliver it ready for immediate use. You can even take it with you if you move!

What makes the garage container so special?

The garage container is a new build container, using corrugated box profile steel, and reinforced plywood floors, so it's able to meet even the heaviest demands. With the addition of a lockable steel box to protect the padlock, it's also theft and vandal proof. And it comes in the unique width of 10ft – wide enough to park your car AND get out afterwards! Most steel storage containers are used shipping containers, which are generally available in a standard 8ft width and therefore not wide enough for your car plus clearance for opening doors.

For larger vehicles we can extend the width of the container to your specific needs, or even make it smaller, for instance, in the case of motorbike storage. Most of our clients choose to go with the standard shipping container length of 20ft, but again, this can be modified upon request.

Our standard garage containers come with watertight double door at the front end, and are painted to the client's own colour specification.
