Shipping Container Loading Ramps
Making loading and unloading safer, quicker and easier.
Heavy Duty Container Loading Ramps
We can make ramps to any required size or weight tolerance, however we do have two standard products: a 4ft and an 8ft container ramp. Please note; we design our ramps to fit to the door opening of the container between the corner posts, meaning the width is slightly less than 4ft/8ft.

Which car ramp is right for you? Choose removable car ramps if you need flexible positioning for different vehicles. Choose a low level ramp if the ramp needs to stay with the container and be used regularly. Car ramp FAQs
Do I need a car ramp to get a car into a shipping container?
In most cases, yes. A shipping container floor sits above ground level, so without a ramp you are dealing with an awkward step up at the door. For occasional use, a removable pair of car ramps is often the simple answer. If you plan to drive in and out regularly, a low level ramp is usually the better fit.
What is the difference between your standard car ramps and the low level CarTainer ramp?
Our standard car ramps come as two separate steel sections. You place them where you need them, use them, then move them away afterwards. The low level CarTainer ramp is more of a permanent set-up. It is designed for regular vehicle access and can stay in place, which makes day-to-day use much easier.
Will your car ramps suit different vehicle widths?
Yes. Because the standard ramps are supplied as two separate pieces, they can be spaced to suit different track widths. That gives you more flexibility than a fixed-width one-piece ramp and makes them suitable for a wide range of cars, as well as quad bikes.
How do you use car ramps with a shipping container?
Set the ramps on firm, level ground and line them up with the vehicle's wheel track before you start loading. Make sure the ramps are properly positioned against the container entrance, then drive up slowly and steadily. For regular use, a low level ramp is usually the easier option. If you are unsure which ramp layout suits your vehicle and container, send us the details through Quick Quote and we can advise.
How do I check whether my car and container will fit properly?
The best place to start is our container dimensions guide, where you can compare internal size and door opening space against your vehicle. If you are looking at a full vehicle storage set-up, also see our garage containers page. For anything less straightforward, send us the vehicle model, container size and intended use through Quick Quote and we can point you towards the most suitable ramp option.
