Containers Direct are one of the few manufacturers of new build containers in the UK. In addition to our standard brands, the WideLine, the SlimLine and the CarTainer, we also build specialist containers for a wide range of uses, from plant rooms to switch gear enclosures to pizza restaurants! We are proud to have worked with many of the UK's leading companies and institutions, manufacturing to agreed specifications and meeting critical deadlines.

Our success is based on a strong in-house team. You will have your own dedicated Sales Advisor who heads up a team made up of CAD technicians and experienced tradesman all based in our factory in the North West. We believe that fabrication projects have better outcomes when the process is managed and fabricated in-house and at one location.

Containers Direct are industry leading specialists in shipping container conversions with a reputation for cutting edge innovation, delivering projects on time and providing first class customer care. We have worked on a wide variety of container conversion projects from bespoke site offices to pop-up shops, working with big brand names like Superdry to the local self-starters, like Coffi Camlan Garden Centre in Snowdonia. We have undertaken high-end engineering work for the MOD and worked with clubs and charities delivering bespoke budget workshops and offices. We have that much confidence in our converted shipping containers that our main office is, of course, a building constructed from eleven joined containers and some of our workshops are built from joined up used 40ft shipping containers!

Standard New Build Container Products

Containers Direct specialise in building brand new containers. New shipping containers are made to conform to standard sizes, meaning they are exclusively 8ft wide with a maximum height of 9ft 6in. So if you are looking for a container which falls outside of these parameters, perhaps 10ft wide or 5ft wide, then building from scratch is the best solution. Typically our new build containers can be manufactured to any width between 5ft and 14ft. For wider spaces we can provide joined up containers cleverly designed to easily link together to create larger spaces.
