Our container padlocks are designed to be used in conjunction with a lock box, which is fitted to shipping containers as an essential security feature to guard the padlock from being forced off by thieves. As shipping containers are left out in the open, and usually store valuable contents, a padlock on its own is not enough to keep your container safe, The container lock box is steel box that encases the padlock, to block access to it without a key. All our shipping containers are sold with a lock box fitted at no extra cost (apart from 40ft containers, which have a surcharge of £50). All you need to do is buy the appropriate padlock! Our standard shipping container padlock for the lock box is the ISL Prefer, which fits through the lock box hole perfectly! This has a straight shackle rather than the typical U-shaped seen on many padlocks. This means you can simply align the padlock with the loop inside the enclosed lockbox and slide the shackle closed.
