Quick and easy assembly
See our assembly guide for the full step-by-step process. Flat-pack Kabins (often supplied as an Expandakabin kit) use a modular chassis, corner posts, ring beams and interlocking wall panels, with flexible door and window positioning selected during the build.
Best practice before you start:
- Assemble on level, solid ground for correct wall and roof alignment.
- Tools: 13mm and 19mm spanners or sockets, plus a screwdriver.
- Hand tighten first; fully tighten all fixings once complete.
- Keep corner sections and transit fixings safe for re-use.
- Remove protective membrane from wall panels before fitting.
- Decide door and window position early (before completing the wall runs).
- Use joining strips and ring beams to lock panels in place as you go.
- Roof panels slot in place; seal external joints with the supplied self-adhesive tape.
Handling and relocation: If the Kabin is already delivered in its final position, do not disassemble the floor chassis. If you need to move components through restricted access, the chassis can be broken down into sections and reassembled at the final location.
After assembly: Fit door handle and window fixings, install roof fixing brackets, seal roof joints externally, then re-check all bolts are tight. The assembled unit can be lifted and repositioned using suitable equipment, but additional fixings may be required - follow your site H&S procedures.
