Containers Direct are one of the few UK manufacturers building brand new containers. Constructed in our own workshops to high standards using 16 gauge corrugated steel, they can be built to lengths of up to 45ft, extra tall, and to a width of up to 12ft.
Up to 4ft wider than a standard shipping container a new build gives you all the extra space you need, If you require bespoke dimensions for your container conversion project a new build can cater for this. Let us know what you need and we can build it!
Popular New Builds
Extra wide containers, CarTainers® and SlimLine® containers are our most commonly requested new build containers. Extra wide containers are popular for garages, offices, pop-up shops and food outlets, and industry, but whatever you need a container for, we can design and build it. New build garages
The CarTainer® is unique to Containers Direct, built to a standard 10ft wide, as this leaves enough room to park a car inside, open the doors, and comfortably exit. Alongside this we offer bespoke build garages that can be built to your requested width, height and length. We can also add features such as roller shutters, ply lining and exterior wood cladding. For double garages we can build two units, which can be joined up on site.
Narrow containers
SlimLine® containers are built to widths under 8ft - just tell us what length you need! Constructed in our own on-site workshops, SlimLine® containers can be made to any specified length. All our SlimLine® containers are made with the following specifications:- Cut from brand new 1.6mm thick steel sheeting, corrugated on our machines for extra strength
- Double doors made from 3mm thick steel plate with locking arm and compressed door seals
- Steel floor chassis overlaid with plywood
- Lockbox
- Lifting eyes
- Painted to choice of colour
Extra wide containers
We build new extra wide containers to widths from 9ft up to 14ft. Any wider and delivery becomes difficult! However, if more width is required, we can build from new shipping containers designed to link together to form larger spaces. We can also modify standard shipping containers to create spaces as wide as you need by joining up shipping containers - simple to deliver and designed to easily fit together on your site.Our usual range of optional extras are available on all new build containers. From wood cladding to ply lining , electrics and ramps, we've got it all covered!
